In 2021, the UW Google agreement changed. Google made large changes to what our toolset on the UW campus will be in the future:

  • Data must be owned by a person (a netid)
  • No more unlimited storage (new limits are 100GB)
  • No Shared netids of any kind


The migration from what we had in the past will be work. These are some ideas to get the data to be acceptable and not subject to deletion.


It will be a combination of these tools:


-Google "Takeout". This exports your data:

-Microsoft Onedrive (a Microsoft replaement of your Google drive)
