The College of Education operates a self guided course to introduce new employees to the College Databases and policies and best practices around UW institutional data. 

The course provides an introduction to Protected Personal Information (PPI) and relevant regulations with a focus on the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

New college employees are required to complete the course and sign an agreement acknowledging the training and their responsibilities handling university PPI. The signed agreement is added to the employee's HR file. Training and agreement must be completed before getting access to college databases. Complete this request form to enroll a new employee.
